More than a meteorological phenomena, mist is in the collective unconscious one of the best representations of certain human emotions. A powerful natural allegory of mystery and dreams, melancholy and even magic. Creating very special visual atmospheres, mist has been frequently used by film directors, sometimes even occupying a central role in their films, as in John Carpenter's “Fog”, for example. For all these reasons, Quentin Kysyl has made fog his own, taking its French name, “Brume”, believing it to be a perfect representation of the emotions and visual identity he wanted to give to his musical project.
