Cyril Giroux is a self-taught composer from Paris whose work is deeply rooted in the world of theatre, cinema, and music. His extensive training in the theatrical arts shapes every aspect of his compositions, blending dramatic, cinematic, and musical elements in a way that creates a rich, immersive experience. To further expand his musical vocabulary, Giroux formed the string quartet Illico, through which he showcased his innovative approach to composition.
As a member of Illico, Giroux composed, arranged, and performed much of the band's repertoire, while also working as an orchestrator for prominent ensembles like the Pasdeloup Symphony Orchestra and the English Session Orchestra. These collaborations highlighted his exceptional talent in arranging for strings, voice, and piano, cementing his reputation as a versatile and skilled composer.
