DJ Deep, whose real name is Cyril Étienne des Rosaies, is a Parisian DJ and electronic music producer. His passion for House music began when he discovered the track I’ll House You by the Jungle Brothers, which led him to attend the rare house parties in Paris in 1988/1989. This eventually led to him meeting Laurent Garnier, who invited him to DJ alongside him at the Boy and Luna clubs. DJ Deep became the ambassador for deep house and New York garage music in France, notably through his residencies at the Rex Club (Wake Up and Legends nights) and at the Queen (Respect nights), as well as through his weekly radio shows on Radio FG from 1992 to 1996 and on Radio Nova starting in 1997.

As a producer, DJ Deep made his debut on the label Fnac Music Dance Division alongside Ludovic Navarre under the name Deep Contest, then under the name The Deep in a duo with Julien Jabre on the Basenotic Records label. DJ Deep has also collaborated with Olivier Portal (son of Michel Portal) under the name Funk Force Project (Straight Up Recordings).

DJ Deep is also the head of two independent labels, House Music Records and Deeply Rooted House. In 2018, he launched Deep Moments, a new alias and label to release deep house and hypnotic tracks. He formed a duo with Romain Poncet (also known as Roman Poncet) under various aliases (Adventice, Sergie Rezza, FANG, Slang, etc.), producing music that blends House, Techno, and Ambient sounds.

Since the beginning of his career, he has considered himself a sort of "filter," spending countless hours each day in record stores, offering the public a musical selection through his own "prism."

In 2021, he co-authored a book titled Chaotic Harmony, dedicated to his collection of music label t-shirts (Underground Resistance, Moodymann, Neroli, etc.). The book was created with the help of photographer Emma Le Doyen and artistic director Laure-Anne Kayser. The idea for the book came about after a conversation between DJ Deep and Pedro Winter, founder of Ed Banger Records. Noticing their shared passion for t-shirts from independent record label merchandise, Pedro Winter suggested producing a book through his publishing house, Headbangers Publishing
