The Golden Filter, the critically acclaimed duo of Penelope Trappes (from Lismore, Australia) and Stephen Hindman (from Ohio, USA), have carved a unique space in electronic music. Combining Penelope's ethereal vocals with Stephen's analogue synth mastery, they blend Italo-disco, synthwave, and experimental soundscapes.

Their debut single, Solid Gold (2009), quickly gained traction, leading to remixes for artists like UNKLE, Cut Copy, and Empire of the Sun. Performing at SXSW seven times and touring North America with The Presets established their reputation as a must-see live act. Their debut album, Voluspa (2010), inspired by Nordic mythology, highlighted their narrative-driven artistry.

In 2011, their short film Syndromes explored loss and healing, paired with a six-song soundtrack released as a limited art edition. After relocating to London in 2014, they launched SO SO IN LUV, an experimental side project linked to PC Music, while continuing to release music as The Golden Filter.

A decade on, they remain pioneers, balancing avant-garde experimentation with timeless electronic craftsmanship, captivating listeners worldwide with haunting melodies and bold creativity.
